Q: What is the Hub?

A: The Hub is a non-profit multipurpose concert venue.

Q: Who is the Hub for?

A: The Hub was created to give young people throughout the Lincoln-Way Community a place to go on the weekend for music, friends, and entertainment. The primary audience for the Hub are high school students. Special events are held on occassion for college students and/or junior high students.

Q: I'm not from the Lincoln-Way area. Can I still come to the Hub?

A: Yes!

Q: What happens at the Hub?

A: It depends. We have all kinds of events. Big bands, solo performers, open jam nights, dance nights, special parties, and much more. Check out our calendar for more info. Many young people like to come and just hang out. Others love to play video games, pool, ping-pong, air hockey, and foosball. Some bring out their instruments and plug into the sound system to play.

Q: How much does it cost?

A: It depends. The goal of the Hub is to provide the highest quality experience at the lowest price possible. Some events are free. Others cost between $5 and $10. Check out our calendar for more info.

Q: My band and I want to play at the Hub. What do I do?

A: Email dan@LWHub.org. We'll find a time to have you come play.

Q: What kind of music does the Hub play?

A: Just about everything! We have two guidelines: One, music has to be clean, not just language, be theme as well. Two, we prefer to stay away from screamo music. Check out MoJoes in Orland Park, IL for a venue that will welcome screamo.

Q: Is there food at the Hub?

A: The Hub has packaged candy and drinks for sale. Special events sometimes include catered food.

Q: Who runs the Hub?

A: The Hub is an independent organization that has no official affiliation with government or religious organizations. The Hub hosts occasional special worship events and partners with local churches for other special events.

Q: Can I rent the Hub for a private party?

A: Yes! The Hub is the perfect place for all kinds of parties. There are tons of things for guests to do. Capacity is over 250. For your party, you can bring in all your own food and drinks. Most parties are held between Sunday and Thursday because Hub events are usually Friday and Saturday. For more information, email dan@LWHub.org or call 815-545-0818. We'd love to host your next party!

Q: I want to support the Hub. What can I do?

A: Financial suppport is much appreciated! The revenue from our events does not meet our budget needs. We depend on additional support to provide a safe, positive, entertaining environment for young people.

Checks can be written to Lincoln-Way Community Youth Center (That's the official organization name) and mailed to 1303 Schoolhouse Rd. Unit 3, New Lenox, IL 60451. Please email dan@LWHub.org if you have another way to support the Hub.

Q: Will I receive a write-off for donating to the Hub?

A: Yes! The Hub is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.

Q: Money is tight right now, but I still want to come to the special events at the Hub. What do I do?

A: The Hub is here for YOU. We understand that times are tough for some people. We don't want a few dollars to keep you from coming and enjoying the shows with us. Please contact Dan, the director by phone (815-545-0818) or by email, dan@LWHub.org
